Prof. Willow watched as Ebba played with Drizzle in the yard, she walked up to Ebba and asked, “Hmmmm, would your Glaceon happen to know Shadow ball?” Ebba glanced at Drizzle, both of them smiled. “Yup yup, she’s got the most powerful shadow ball ever!” Ebba gloated, and Drizzle blushed. “Wow! Perfect! I’m working on an experiment and I need an extremely powerful shadow ball!” Prof. Willow said happily. “Would you pleeeeaaaase do me a big favor?” Prof. Willow asked Drizzle.
Prof. Willow led Ebba and Drizzle to her lab witch was what used to be Ebba’s mom’s office. Ebba stared in awe at the blinking buttons and bubbling test tubes. “I’ve been working on creating a gem that will boost ghost type’s moves; all I need know is a super strong ghost type move to be used to empower the gem’s ghost type qualities. That’s why I asked about shadow ball.” Ebba nodded staring at a purple glowing gem inside a glass sphere. “Is that the gem?” Ebba asked putting her face up to the glass ball. Prof. Willow laughed, “Yes, That’s the gem. Now there is a slight probability that the shadow ball might be too powerful to harness and the gem will back fire so if I yell to get out of the room, I want both of you to run out as fast as you can. Got it?” Prof. Willow asked glancing at Drizzle.
They nodded, understanding. “Good, now all I want you to do is build up a strong shadow ball and gently place it in this box.” The prof. instructed as she opened an orange box. Ebba poked at the glass sphere which held the gem, “It’s so shiny.” Ebba mumbled. Drizzle closed her eyes and focused, a large eerie purple ball formed in front of her. Drizzle slowly stepped toward the orange box and placed the orb gently into it. The prof. quickly put the lid onto the box and ran over to a computer. She quickly typed away on the computer, pushing flashing buttons here and there.
Suddenly the prof. stopped, and face palmed herself in the forehead. “It might work… if I can form the molecules together more quickly…” the prof. mumbled. The prof. ran over to a different computer and started typing wilding on the keyboard. Drizzle watched intently as the prof. ran back and forth. “Hey Drizzle come watch this!” Ebba shouted. Drizzle ran over to the glass tube as stared at the gem, it was glowing bright, so bright it hurt both their eyes. Drizzle looked away and shook her head, not understanding what was happening, but Ebba kept staring. “It’s beautiful…” Ebba said in awe.
Suddenly the gem dimmed then shined so bright that it became over whelming. Ebba looked away blinded by the intense light. “GET OUT OF HERE NOW, THE TRANSFER FAILED!!! GET OUT!” The prof. yelled as she grabbed a file from the desk. Ebba tried to walk away but she was dazed by the blinding light. Drizzle ran out the door but stopped as she glanced around for Ebba. “GLACEON!!!” Drizzle ran back into the lab and ran behind Ebba, A red siren began flashing. Drizzle tackled Ebba trying to push her out of the room.
A sensor notified that there were no more people in the room and A Steele door shut as the gem’s light suddenly stopped and there was a loud crack sound. Ebba held Drizzle tight outside of the lab, Ebba still couldn’t see but she held Drizzle close. Then the siren stopped and there was a vibration that went out through the door and ranch. Ebba hugged Drizzle tightly until the vibrations stopped.
Drizzle let out a small cry and Ebba blinked her eyes until she could see again. “Drizzle…” Ebba whispered as she saw it. Drizzle’s tail was closed in the Steele door, trapped inside the lab. The prof. ran over to door and entered a pin number and the door slid open. A purple mist overflowed into the hall, creeping out of the lab. “Is everyone okay?” The prof. asked kneeling down next to Ebba and Drizzle. Drizzle smiled weakly and tried to move her tail. She brought her tail up to her face, she could still move it, it was just sore, but it was more than that.
The light blue of her fur on her tail had gently faded into a light purple, her once navy blue diamond had become a dark violet and a gastly looking fire like gas outlined the end of her tail. They all stopped and stared at her tail. “Ohmygrr…” Ebba whispered staring at Drizzle; tears appeared in Ebba’s eyes, “Are you okay !?” Ebba’s dad ran into the house. He stopped and fell to his knees, “Ebbaline, baby, are you hurt?” Her dad asked as he touched her face, “I’m fine dad… but Drizzle…” Ebba hugged Drizzle close. Drizzle placed her paw over Ebba’s mouth. Ebba smiled and laughed, “She’s okay!!!” Ebba said hopping up, remembering that a paw on the mouth meant she was fine after a battle.
Drizzle sat on Prof. Willow’s lab table and watched as the prof. printed out a sheet. Ebba sat next to Drizzle on the table, swinging her legs comfortably. “Does Drizzle know the move ‘Iron tail’?” The prof, asked Ebba. Ebba nodded, “Yup Yup, it’s a really good move.” The prof. smiled, “Well, now ‘Iron tail’ is ‘Iron Shadow tail.’ Cool, huh?” The prof. said handing the paper to Ebba.
Drizzle was fine, in fact besides her tail being a little soar she was better than fine. She was now not just an ice type but the gem had caused her to become a ghost and ice type. The gem had boosted her Shadow ball and made it so she was half ice and half ghost type. The only ghost and ice type Glaceon in the world. Drizzle smiled up at Ebba happy that everything was alright.
