Prologue
~ Exactly 15 years, 234 days has passed since Kree's Sun Died. Luckily, before it did Kree's government stored sunlight and set up machines on all four of its moons.  Now for 2 months Kree has only sunlight and then it turns off the moons for 2 months of night. Living on Kree is two heroes with a different way of fighting crime. From the inside and out.

Bean heard the creak of the window opening; he paid no mind to it as a dark shadow slowly crept across the room towards him. The shadow belonged to a tall man who stood behind Bean. Bean turned around to see the dark shadowed man. His left eyelid was sewn shut, the other had a silver monocle, he had long jet black hair, and had a black hat to shadow his face, he had long black claws, and he wore a long black coat with buckles hanging down every witch way, almost like an undid straight jacket, a tiny gold cross hung from a gold chain from around his neck. The very air he breathed seemed to have creepy essence. "Slay you know your not allowed in my apartment," Bean said giving him a look. "How else am I going to get your attention," Slay said holding up a large brown envelope. Annoyed, Bean snatched the envelope from Slay's hand.
"This is the third mission this month! Give me a break, you know the ztournament is Soon!" Bean said opening up the envelope. "Good, this mission requires extra training." Slay said with a chuckle. Bean looked at Slay confused and held up a paper from the envelope. Bean slowly read it; halfway through the paper bean crumpled it up and threw it on the floor angry. "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Bean yelled at Slay. Bean stormed to the door and unlocked it. "Don't ever think put a thought like that in your head again." Bean said in terror.
Bean opened the door and left, slamming it shut. Slay slowly bent down and picked up the crumpled piece of paper. "Better than I thought she would take It...," he chuckled to himself. Bean paced quickly through a dark ally muttering under his breath. "What's got you so worked up?" a voice asked. Bean whirled around to see Shiro standing behind him. "Nothing." bean grunted. Shiro laughed mockingly. "Nothing personal, Jelly Belly, but you have some anger issues." Shiro said knocking off Bean's hat. Bean punched Shiro hard in the gut.
"Im not in the mood." Bean growled picking up his hat. "You *cough*  jerk." Shiro coughed clenching his fist. "If the Boss didn't want to see you I would punch you into next week." Bean's face grew serious. "The Boss wants to see me?" Bean asked Shiro. "Yeah, probably about the tournament. He's sending a bunch of the rookies. He says it'll be good training."  "Yeah, if they don't die." Bean mumbled. "Come on; don't want to keep The Boss waiting." Shiro said shoving Bean forward.
Shiro led Bean to a brick building with a steel door with a huge lock on it. Shiro knocked on the door quietly. A small window opened on the door and a pair of eyes peered at Shiro and Bean. The window quickly slid shut and the door opened slowly. Shiro and Bean entered casually.  Shiro walked over to a doorway with a velvet curtain over it, it smelled musky and of smoke. Shiro held open the curtain and Bean entered the large room. The only thing in the room was a large epensive wooden desk with a large bald man sitting at it, dressed in a suit. "Hello Bean." the man said slyly as a tall slender woman came in, she was wearing a skimpy hot pink dress. Bean nodded at him.
"As you may know the Street Tournament is coming up," the man said reaching into a droor and pulling out a cigar. The woman lit the cigar and wrapped her arms around him. "Your mother and I have decided to enter you. Congratulations." Bean stood there, not surprised. "Knowing I don't have any say in this, what do I get if I win?" Bean asked walking closer to the desk. "I recon IF you win I'll get you one of those robo~arm things." the man said staring at Bean's left arm, witch had been amputated from the elbow down. "No sir. I don't want a robotic arm.," Bean said eyeing the woman. "Well then what do you want?" the man asked.
Bean grinned. "I want to go back to school." The man laughed loudly. "You hear that DeeDee, your son wants to go to SCHOOL!"  Bean's grin faded and he looked at the woman. She giggled. "Bean, dear, you can't go to school. You're missing an arm, and you have to wear an eye patch." Bean made a straight face. "I think I can handle It." he said looking away from DeeDee. "Sorry dear, but Mack would be happy to send you back to one of his schools." she said with an evil grin. "I'll tell you what Bean. If you win the tournament I'll send you to the finest school in the world, so you can fail!" Mack laughed breathing out cigar smoke.
"So if I win I can go back to school? Regular kid school?" Bean asked completely serious. Mack eyed him. "Yeah. But only if you win 1st place!" Mack chuckled. "That's all. Now you can leave." Mack waved Bean away. Bean nodded and left.  "He gone?" Mack asked Shiro. "Yup." Shiro replied. "Good, now go test him to make sure he doesn't win." Mack ordered. Shiro ginned evilly and left.  "Oh Mack, please don't kill my little boy!" DeeDee said smiling sympathetically at Mack. "Oh, I won't kill him." Mack smirked.
Bean walked into the ally. He looked up at the sky and stared at the lit moon. "I hate the light months." Bean mumbled. Slowly and quietly, Shiro stepped out of the shadows with a blade in his hand. Shiro snatched Bean and put the blade to his throat.  Bean gasped for air as a thin ruby line appeared on his neck. Suddenly A gunshot went of and fresh blood splattered all over the ally walls. Bean fell to the ground, Shiro lying, dead, on top of him. Bean pushed Shiro off and stared in horror. Bean stood up quickly balled up his fist. "Y-YOU HORRIBLE THING!" Bean yelled as he went to punch Slay in the face. Slay caught Bean's wrist. "He was going to kill you." Slay said calmly placing his gun back into his coat.
Slay let go of his wrist and Bean stumbled to the ground. Bean stared at Shiro. "He was my friend." Bean said crawling over to Shiro. "Friends don't try to kill each other." Slay said walking over to Bean. "Great, now Mack is going to make sure I die at the tournament." Bean said closing Shiro's eyes. "After this mission Mack himself couldn't even hurt you." Slay said helping Bean stand up. Bean stared down at the ground and clenched his fist. "I told you-" "you're doing the mission." Slay interrupted. "Let's take this conversation somewhere more private." Slay said his voiced lowered.
Back at Bean's apartment, Slay handed Bean the crumpled paper. "You didn't even finish reading It.," Slay said staring at Bean. "Doesn't matter there's nothing that would make me do this mission." Bean said tossing the paper back onto the floor. "Not even if I told you that it's involved with KiKi's death?" Slay said placing his hand on Bean's shoulder. Bean stared up at Slay. "KiKi's murderers?" Slay nodded. "The young man you have to affluate is the assassin's son." Slay said taking off Bean's hat. "You're a pretty girl; it should be easy for you." Slay said grinning while taking a lock of Bean's hair. Bean snatched back his hat, and glared at Slay. "I'll do it but only for KiKi." Bean said picking up the paper, avoiding Slay's eye.
Slay held out a little velvet box to Bean. Slay could see Bean was near tears, so Slay opened the box and pulled out a small silver chain with a lunar moth charm hanging from it. Slay slowly went to put the necklace on Bean but instead Bean took the necklace from Slay and put it on herself. Bean looked down at the necklace and smiled. When she looked up Slay was gone.
Bean jumped as someone knocked on the door. Bean quickly stuck the necklace down her shirt and stuffed the mission in her pocket. Bean walked over to the door and looked through the peephole. "Perfect Timing." Bean though as he saw DeeDee standing there. Bean unlocked the door and DeeDee burst in. "I'm so glad your not dead yet!" DeeDee squealed as she hugged Bean. "Yet?" Bean asked as DeeDee walked over to bean's fridge. "Mamas hungry. Do you have any pizza?" DeeDee asked Bean. Bean looked down at the hidden necklace and remembered KiKi.
"Your not my mom." Bean mumbled. "What'd ya say?" DeeDee asked popping a frozen pizza in the microwave. "I said Your not my mom. Your not KiKi." Bean said boldly. DeeDee looked at Bean confused. "What's all this about?" she asked Bean. "Honestly I'm a little hurt. After all I've done for you, you bring that up." DeeDee walked over to Bean and looked him in the eye.
"What have you done for me?" Bean asked angrily. "I've sheltered you, I got you a job working for Mack! I think I've done fine providing for you, you ungrateful little brat!" DeeDee smirked as she plopped onto the couch.  "I can't believe you and KiKi were sisters."  DeeDee glared at Bean, tension in the air. The microwave beeped breaking the silence, and DeeDee laughed. "Bean honey, fetch me my dinner." Bean went and got the pizza from the microwave. Then handed it to DeeDee. "Why are you even here? I thought Mack bought you for the night." Bean said disgusted. "Yeah, me to, but then he saw what you did to Shiro and told me...to leave." DeeDee said as she wolfed down the pizza.
"I may not be a great mom, but you haven't been the best son either." DeeDee replied licking her fingers. Bean shook her head. You don't know me at all Bean thought. "Oh yeah, I sinned up for special training so I'll be gone tomorrow and the rest of the week." Bean said causally, thinking about the mission. "Good, maybe that way Mack won't slit your throat. Shiro was Mack's favorite son." DeeDee smiled as she relaxed on Bean's couch. "You'll always be my favorite son." DeeDee said to Bean as she fell asleep. "I'm not your son. I'm not anyone's son." Bean said to herself.

Bean got off the train and grabbed her luggage. She walked over to the place that her and Slay always meet when she trains for a mission. However, this time it was not just Slay. Of course, he was wearing a disguise, as always, but now he had two women and a man with him. One of the women had on a light pink maid outfit while the other was dressed in casual clothes, blue jeans and a T-shirt. Bean stared at the man nervously. He looked muscular and was holding a pink suitcase. The woman in the pink maid outfit rushed over to Bean and tried to hug her. Bean jumped at the last second and the woman fell to the ground with a thud.
"Well, that wasn't very lady like." The woman said as the man helped her up. Bean stepped back and stared at Slay. "They are your teachers."  Bean stared at the woman in the pink costume. "Oh, I'm Sarah." she said and bowed. Bean bowed back, "I'm Bean." she said quietly. The man boomed out laughing. Bean , surprised, jumped and hid behind Slay. "Oh, I'm sorry. You just hadn't appeared to me as the shy type." The man laughed. Bean glared at him. "I'm Adam Gartner and this is my wife Julie Gartner." he said pulling the casual dressed women to his side.
Slay nodded at Bean. "Go, and try to listen to them.," Slay said to Bean, and walked away. Bean looked down at her feet. Sarah took Bean by the hand. Bean, about to cry, looked at Sarah. Sarah smiled sweetly and said, "No need to worry. We don't bite." "Much..." Adam said with a chuckle. Adam went to take Bean's suitcase from her but she snatched it back before he could. Julie examined Bean and smiled.
"Hey Bean, can you drive?" Julie said opening the driver's door. Bean looked up surprised. Julie nodded and with a wide grin Bean ran and hopped into the drivers seat. Sarah looked at Julie and Adam nervously. Julie hoped into the passenger seat, and Adam, laughing, got in the backseat. Sarah smiled nervously and buckled up using two seat buckles.
"Which one's the break?" Ben asked exited, she had never driven before. "The left one. Now all you got to do is fallow the map." Julie replied turning on the electric map. "Oh dear!" Sarah mumbled, terrified. Adam laughed at Sarah, she had a look on her face as if she was about to wet herself. The car launched forward leaving a trail of dust behind.

The car speeded into a driveway and screeched to a stop. Bean jumped out of the car, with a giant grin on her face. Julie got out and closed her door. "Not bad for a first timer." Julie said taking the keys from Bean.  Sarah fell out of the car with a thud. Adam helped her up, and she dusted off her dress. "That was horrible. The most terrifying thirty minutes of my life!" she said all shooken up. Julie laughed "Don't worry you can get revenge when it's time for her lady lessons."  Bean gulped nervously.  "Do- do I have to become a lady? Can't I just, ya know, force the information out of him?" Bean said staring at her feet.
Sarah stared at Bean. "Al wasn't lying you really are scared of being a girl what happed to you?" Bean frowned as she could feel the sting of the tears of the bad memory coming back.
